Sacred Footsteps: A 10-Day Pilgrimage from Lumbini to Varanasi

Day 1: Gorakhpur | Sunauli | Lumbini | Pokhara

Arrive at Gorakhpur and drive to Sunauli. After border formalities, visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Continue westward through scenic countryside to Pokhara, the picturesque valley surrounded by the majestic Annapurna Range. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 2: Pokhara | Jomsom |Muktinath | Jomsom

Take an early morning flight to Jomsom, followed by a Jeep/Bus ride to Muktinath Temple, a sacred pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Bathe in the 108 holy water spouts, perform pooja, and seek blessings. Return to Jomsom for rest. Overnight stay in Jomsom.

Day 3: Jomsom | Pokhara

Fly back to Pokhara after breakfast. Enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour including Devi’s Falls, Gupteshwor Cave, Bindabasini Temple, and boating on Fewa Lake with a visit to Shanti Stupa. Spend the evening relaxing or shopping at Lakeside

Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 4: Pokhara | Kathmandu

After breakfast, drive to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. En route, visit Manakamana Temple by cable car (optional). Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 5: Kathmandu Sightseeing

Explore Kathmandu’s spiritual highlights:

Pashupatinath Temple – the holiest Shiva shrine in Nepal
Boudhanath Stupa – a sacred Buddhist site
Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) – an ancient hilltop shrine
Jal Narayan (Sleeping Vishnu) and Sakti Peeth

Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
